Requirements

The following are the Eligibility and Documentary Requirements for CMSP

Eligibility Requirements

A student must comply with the following criteria to qualify for the scholarship grant:

  1. Filipino citizen;
  2. Senior High school graduate with a minimum GWA of 93% or its equivalent. Computation of GWA:
    • If completed Grade 12 then grade is computed (1st semester + 2nd semester grade of G12 / 2) as G12 GWA
  3. Enroll in recognized CHED Priority Course. (CMO No. 7, S. 2023) of private Higher Education Institution (HEI) or State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)/ Local Universities or Colleges (LUCs) with Certifcate of Program Compliance (COPC).
  4. Combined annual gross income of the parents or legal guardian should not exceed Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP500,000.00)
  5. Aside from the requirements, those student-applicants belonging to the special group of persons such as Underprivileged and Homeless Citizens under Republic Act (RA) No. 7279, Magna Carta Law for the poor under RA No. 11291, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) under RA No. 7277 as amended, Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act under RA 11861 as amended, Senior Citizens under RA 9994, and Indigenous Peoples (IPs) under RA 8371, and other relevant legislation that gives priority to the marginalized group, such as the First Generation students who are the first in their families to attend college or university, shall submit certifications and/or Identification Cards (IDs) issued by the appropriate offices of agencies.

Documentary Requirements

  1. Citizenship: Copy of Birth certificate issued by National Statistics Office (NSO) or Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
  2. Academic:
    •Certified true copy of the Form 138 (Learner's Progress Report Card or School Form 9 (SF9)), duly signed by the registrar or an authorized representative of the senior high school attended
  3. Proof of Income of Parents/Guardian: The student applicants shall submit any one (1) of the following documents, whichever is applicable:
    •Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or legal guardian if employed
    •Certificate of Tax Exemption/Non-Filer issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
    •Certified true copy of latest contract or proof of income for children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and Seafarers
    •Social Case Study Report issued by the City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (C/MSWD)
  4. Other Requirements, if applicable
    •PWD ID issued by C/MSWD or Certification of Disability issued by the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO)
    •Solo Parents ID issued by C/MSWD
    •Senior Citizen ID issued by C/MSWD
    •Social Case Study Report issued by C/MSWD covered under Magna Carta for the Poor and/or First-Generation Students
    •Indigenous Peoples Certification issued by the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP)
  5. Notarized Certificate of Guardianship, issued by the legal guardian of the student applicant, if applicable
